kimbosabe launches #Thinkbeyond Campaign To Support The Restaurant Industry
Wednesday, September 16, 2020
Over the past few months, many countries around the globe have had to restrict the functioning of restaurants and other small business businesses which were the backbone of the economy. The restaurants are being asked to change their mainstream business. According to the National Restaurant Association, the coronavirus epidemic is the greatest crisis the industry has ever faced. Economic forecasts indicate that restaurants and the foodservice industry could sustain $225 billion in losses and eliminate 5–7 million jobs over the next three months. This means the livelihoods of the 15.6 million people in the global economy has been affected and as their cash inflows are shut, they are finding every way possible to continue to serve their customers, primarily by remaining open only for delivery and pick-up. Now, more than ever, they need all of our support.
So, with the help of restaurants across the globe kimbosabe announced it’s launch #Thinkbeyond an initiative aimed to let consumers know that restaurants are open will have an opportunity to do their own delivery which is safe and that restaurants would be able to earn more and along with that avoid the over-burdening commissions on every order they process.
#Thinkbeyond — a campaign that includes your local restaurants which are signed up with our platform to do their own delivery to their customers which helps them to generate an additional revenue compared to the third-party delivery apps which not only charge a 30–35% commission but also indirectly compel them to increase their prices on their menu which leads to direct price gauging. This mechanism also affects their consumers as they have to pay more compared to directly picking it up from the restaurant. It is crucial to understand the role that our local restaurants play in our lives and communities and there is no better way to help them sustain and be resilient to survive for the future. We do not believe in commissions, neither we believe in any comprise to get online.

What comes to your mind, when you hear the term” wish list”? The application of this feature is exactly how it sounds like: a list of things that you wish to get. As an online store owner, would you like your customers to be able to save products in a wish list so that they review or buy them later? Would you like your customers to be able to share their wish list with friends and family for gift giving?
Offering your customers a feature of wish list as part of shopping cart is a great way to build loyalty to your store site. Having the feature of wish list on a store site allows online businesses to engage with their customers in a smart way as it allows the shoppers to create a list of what they desire and their preferences for future purchase.
